Sutherland Shire Family Services (SSFS) provides over 15 support programs designed to strengthen the capacity of families within our community, particularly those who have been impacted by disadvantage, violence and trauma.
Our programs include services for families including a range of parenting support, which includes youth & family caseworkers, supported playgroups, occasional childcare service, specialised parenting education and therapeutic programs, our youth centre- Engadine District Youth Service (EDYS) and a range of Aboriginal support services. All of our family support services are provided free of charge to our clients.
We also are the leading provider of specialist domestic violence support & education services in the Shire, including our Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (24-hour Crisis Service), the Southern Sydney Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service, the Love Bites school education programs, Industry and Community training programs such as Toolbox Talks and our Pull Ya Head In Campaign. While our individual support services are free, we do charge a nominal training fee to corporate customers for specialist DV training.
