Community is at the heart of Dianella Street, with families enjoying great friendships with each other and many centre-organised events ensuring everyone feels connected and involved.
Many children who attend Dianella Street move on to attend Caringbah North Public School, located right next door. We still enjoy a connection with some of the children we taught as little ones, who visit us to help drop off or pick up a younger sibling.
The centre’s outdoor space is also a major attraction for families. Dubbed the 'Rolls Royce' of playgrounds, the large state-of-the-art space has been beautifully renovated. It is one of the most innovative and well-resourced playgrounds seen in any childcare centre (water pumps, tee pees, mirror balls, stage for musical performances and much more).
Dianella Street is led by a Director with more than 20 years’ experience in early childhood education. The team is warm and caring, creating a very nurturing environment for children to learn.
Our Educators are highly experienced and diverse, with each team member bringing their individual talents and strengths to the service. Their diversity creates a broad learning curriculum for the children. For example, some of our Educators share their passion for cultural awareness through intentional teaching experiences and celebrations with the children.
We also have sustainability enthusiasts who bring environmental awareness and education to the children's program. Dianella Street has a strong focus on nature and the outdoors, and is a multiple award winner in the area of environmental education for children. The centre is a previous state finalist in the Australian Family Early Education & Care awards and the HESTA Early Childhood Education and Care Awards.
The centre opens from 7am-6.15pm, 51 weeks of the year.
Families enjoy regular insights into their children's learning via a safe and secure communication app called Educa. Educa allows families to view and share learning stories, photos and videos, and collaborate with Educators about their child’s development, from the comfort of their phone.
Dianella Street is nestled among beautiful natural surroundings. It borders a large park and Caringbah North Public School. Parents whose children attend our centre and the local school value this single drop off and pick up destination.
All Council Early Education Centres deliver a curriculum which provides children with academic and life skills education. We promote the development of language and literacy, numeracy, social and emotional skills, physical development and cognitive growth. Dianella Street enjoys a strong connection with Caringbah North Public School, visiting the school for classroom and library visits, lunch and school community events. These activities support children starting primary school, familiarising them with the local school environment.
Dianella Street provides an eco-friendly cloth nappy service to babies and toddlers, at no additional cost to parents.
