At Angel Long Day Care we believe in providing a high quality of care and education for every child entrusted in our care by creating "a home away from home."
We are a provider of early education, we care for children aged 0-5 years.
Our practices are guided by Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) curriculum
- Belonging, Being and Becoming and the National Quality Framework.
We strive to provide a warm, nurturing and loving atmosphere for all children in a homelike setting enabling children to feel safe, secure and instilling the confidence to explore their environments and grow.
The Angel Team consists of enthusiastic, happy and compassionate educators of varying age and cultural backgrounds who work together to support each other, motivate and inspire each other in our everyday practices and interactions. Just like all children within our centre we believe all educators at Angel Long Day Care bring something unique to the team.
We, as educators ensure every child feels comfortable and at ease when in our care by creating a feeling of acceptance and a sense of 'belonging' by drawing on their creativity and respect for diversity of families within our centre and the community. When children feel confident in their environment they begin to challenge their own abilities, express their ideas and discover themselves. We will inspire conversations with children encouraging them to let their voices and opinions be heard. When a child builds on their sense of 'being' they can maintain strong relationships with others and feel confident to face challenges that arise in daily experiences. We show respect to every child through our actions, compassion and quality of care.
As children learn and develop their understanding of the world, the world around them grows with them. This then creates a sense of 'Becoming' allowing further development of their confidence creating new relationships, extend their understanding of themselves and world in which they live.
Our stimulating and inclusive program assists the learning and development of every child, utilising Indoor and outdoor environments providing both spontaneous and intentional teaching experiences for all children and are planned to cater for each child's individual needs, strengths and current interests. We have a substantial emphasis on children learning through play and allowing them choice which encourages them to investigate and respect the environment whilst implementing sustainable/environmentally friendly practices daily.
We are passionate about educating children to make healthy lifestyle choices and to live active lifestyles. This is promoted through healthy eating, providing nutritiously healthy meals for all children in our care and encouraging physical development in the daily routine and experiences.
At Angel Long Day Care we believe partnerships with families are of utmost importance because a child's family is the first and primary nurturer. We as a team support and encourage the collaboration between the centre, educators and families, embracing their ideas and acknowledging their valuable input.
Families facilitate a better understanding of their child's needs and assist us in creating an inclusive environment for each and every child in our care. Families provide us with important feedback and ideas to help us improve and grow as a centre therefore it is imperative we include and consult with them in many aspects of the centre and our future planning and decisions.
The community is also a crucial component to a successful and welcoming centre.
Collaborating with the wider community and other organisations helps enhance children's learning and builds a sense of identity by encouraging them to actively participate in society.
We believe that all children, families and educators have the right to be treated with fairness, equality and respect and are valued and vital members of the wider community.
"Educators' practices and the relationships they form with children and families have a significant effect on children's involvement and success in learning. Children thrive when families and educators' work together in partnership to support young children's learning."
